My husband and I have had the same mattress and boxspring for almost 18 years. Although it was a very good quality set when new, it is starting to show it's age. We should buy a new set but money is tight. I decided to investigate mattress toppers instead.
I spent a lot of time looking at memory foam toppers - both online and at retail stores. I chose this one for several reasons:
- a really good price for this size, thickness and density (esp. compared to retail stores in Cincinnati)
- this brand received great reviews from a variety of sources
- it was an Amazon Prime item
After just one night we fell in love with it! Although incredibly comfy and soft it is still very supportive - probably because of the high density level. I honestly think it feels like we purchased a new mattress set.
The only problem is that the rest of the family (including grandkids and puppy) want to sleep on it too!

I had been searching for a memory foam topper for what seems like forever but probably was only a year or so. I made the mistake of trying a $4,000 full foam mattress in a store and decided that was what I wanted but couldn't afford. I saw a variety of price points and density and was getting really confused. I have chronic back pain and already have a pretty good mattress but I was hoping for something a little more comfortable. I finally took the plunge and order this one last month, mostly because of the guarantee and because it was easy to get through Amazon.
The first delight came when I received the mattress within a few days of ordering it and the good news continued. The mattress was very well packaged and took a little bit of perseverance to get it unwrapped and on the bed. Once on top of the bed, I waited and watched it return to shape very quickly. I also got to enjoy watching my two cats' reaction when they jumped on it and jumped across, leaving little cat prints. I did not notice any odor until I put my nose directly on the mattress. I let the topper air out and did not notice any odor at all when I used it that night. The topper is one piece and not visco foam on top of some other kind of foam. It is the full 3" advertised and the expandable cover really helps to keep it in place. OK, now on to the test....
After the first night's sleep, I suspected that I would love this topper. It is just, well, comfortable. I found that I tossed and turned much less through the night and actually got out of bed without as many aches and pains in the morning. I decided to wait to see if I felt the same way after a few weeks before I wrote a review. YES, I do! I don't know how the topper will hold up over time but I am enjoying it while it lasts. My housemate, who is on a tight budget, has started to save up because he is impressed by my ravings over the thing and wants one for his nasty old mattress.
My only complaint is that my old--very old--sheets do not come close to fitting over my mattress with the topper. Now I will get some newer sheets, with deeper pockets, and everything will be perfect.

This one idiot on here rated this product a 1 star b/c of some shipping error. That has nothing to do with the product. Take that up with Amazon and the seller. You leave that kind of feedback on the seller feedback page not the product review page.
As for my review of this product. I've felt better memory foam products but for this price its probably as good as it gets. Don't let the 6.5 in the picture fool you. 6.5 is does not mean 6.5 inches. Its a model number or something. This mattress pad is 3 inches. It is a full 3 inches. Not like some products that say 4 inches and are actually 3. This is a good product and I recommend it.

I never saw this product. Somehow, Amazon got this product screwed up with a software company and so I never got the mattress topper, but did get a full refund. Oh well!

Fantastic Jan 25, 2009
My neck has hurt almost every day for a long time due to getting rear-ended on the highway a number of years ago. Since I put this thing on my mattress, I have been sleeping better, and waking up without feeling like someone has hammered a carpet tack into one of my cervical vertebrae. I definitely recommend this to anyone that has been sleeping on a bad mattress, and is tired of waking up sore and irritable.
