Not exactly as advertised Dec 17, 2008
By T. Brown I bought this as a mattress topper for a twenty year old guest bed that my daughter complains about. I'll probably never sleep on it so I won't attempt to compare it to my $1500 Tempurpedic. I picked this particular manufacturer because the dimensions for some competitor's products for "full" size were smaller and closer to a "twin" size. Before I even received it I got a post card from All Sleep to contact them if there were any problems at all. Nice touch! After letting the pad decompress for several hours the first thing I noticed was that the advertised 2 inches was actually 1 3/4 inches. For some reason All Sleep uses the same measuring system as lumber. After reading reviews on similar products I was expecting to have to leave this pad in my garage to air out for several days but, in fact, this product had no detectable odor (to me). As for quality, it is not an especially dense memory foam but certainly adequate. Overall, the Soft Sleeper 5.5 appears to be a quality product. My daughter visited over the Christmas holiday and told me this mattress topper "made all the difference in the world"!

Your guests will thank you! Jan 27, 2009
By M. Heiker I bought this in the queen size to help our mattress on the pull-out couch be more comfortable for guests. Well, my parents stayed with us for three months while they were building their new house and they were very, very impressed! They said it was just as comfortable as a "real" bed. Without the topper, the pull-out couch mattress had hard spots, bumps, etc. I want my guests to be comfortable, and this fit the bill very nicely. Plus the price was wonderful! I highly recommend!

Deceptive Feb 13, 2011
By Brian Hann This ad is deceptive in a couple ways.
First the "5.5" figure suggests it's 5.5 lb density - comparable to Tempur-pedic. But it is not 5.5 lb density nor does the company actually make that claim. In fact, they neglect to state the density at all. High quality memory foam is high density. Lower density foams can hardly be called memory foams. For this reason, companies selling low quality foam often don't state the density.
Second, notice the dimensions. This topper isn't really quite queen size. The standard size of a queen bed is 60x80.
When buying memory foam toppers, we really need to carefully check density and dimensions (among other things).

The envy of all my friends Nov 15, 2009
By Karin I've had this product for a while now and I love this mattress topper. Originally, I thought it was a bit thin compared to my old mattress topper, but it works perfectly fine. Everyone who sits on my bed for the first time generally comments on how great it is, right before they extend out and fully lay down. People who sleep over are often skeptical, but after a nights sleep, they tell me that it's the perfect density (not too firm or too soft).

Good Solution Jun 17, 2009
By MyStuff I ordered this item to help revive a tired mattress for about 1yr until I get a new one. It has turned out to be a good solution.
- Shipping was very fast - Arrived as expected, letting the product air out and expand as suggested by the manufacturer to eliminate the foam's factory smell and allow for expansion was worth the wait.
Don't expect a tempurpedic bed out of this for such a low cost, but do expect a heavy memory foam that will make a difference. I have a mattress pad over mine to help with air circulation.
It's a fine product at a good price.
